Private Duty

Private Duty offers a broad range of services that are not covered by Medicare, Medicaid or most private insurance plans. Services are delivered through a direct contract between the VNA and the recipient of the requested services.

If you are caring for someone with Alzheimer’s Disease or Dementia, then you’ve already made a decision we understand and can help you with. We know how important it is to live at home in familiar and comforting surroundings. You can trust us to support your choice and help you.

That is why so many families just like yours have depended on us for assistance over the years. The purpose of Private Duty is to provide care in the client’s home, nursing home or assisted living facility. 9 of every 10 patients in Private Duty with the Visiting Nurse Association have some symptoms of Alzheimer’s Disease or Dementia.

We help families like yours seeking respite care. The VNA offers 24-hour/7 day a week services with the added comfort of a manager on call and supervisory home visits.   Our integral level of care assures you that are not alone in your journey.

The Highest Standards

At the VNA we hire only qualified and experienced individuals who are thoroughly screened through the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation. Each employee is insured, regularly evaluated and field supervised, and updated on the latest care techniques. Most importantly, our staff consists of kind, conscientious people who care about you. To further support our clients we have a scheduler and nurse on call 24 hours per day, everyday, to ensure that all client's needs are met.

VNA Service Professionals provide the supplemental personal care and homemaking services to individuals who may not require skilled services, but would not be able to remain in their home without the assistance. The services we provide include assistance with:

  • Bathing and Dressing
  • Meal Preparation
  • Light Housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Grocery Shopping

These services do not require a physician's order. Home Care Aides at the VNA are trained personnel and they act under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Social Worker. In this way the VNA can assure consistency and quality in the services being provided.
